YG is making a hunnid moves in these streets. According to Variety‘s exclusives, the 4Real, 4Real rapper’s independent label, 4Hunnid, has embarked on a joint venture with Epic Records. Reportedly, the Sony Music-parented company will now release, distribute, and market all future music from the 4Hunnid label.

“Me and my team have been doing innovative, legendary stuff for years. [We’ve been] helping keep the West Coast alive,” YG said in a recent statement. “Now, Epic comes through at the best possible time with a platform for our expansion. I’m proud of this opportunity and will make the most of it!”

Based in Los Angeles, 4Hunnid, as described by its members, “encapsulates YG’s versatility and impact, touting impeccable branding, inimitable style, and ambitious vision for both the label and its affiliated clothing line.”

“We at Epic are delighted by this joint venture with YG and his forward-thinking 4Hunnid brand,” Epic Records chairwoman and CEO Sylvia Rhone answered when asked about the announcement. “YG perfectly represents the new face of Hip-Hop music: versatile, creative, multifaceted, and steeped in history, but versed in current trends. This marks an exciting addition to our roster and offerings.”

4Hunnid and Epic Records have scheduled their first collaboration to be from fellow Compton-born MC Day Sulan, who was featured on YG’s album track, “Her Story.”

Congratulations to YG on such a huge accomplishment!
