Almost four years to the date of releasing his debut album, Eldorado, German born singer Ro James has released his sophomore project. The album comes just a couple months after he was set to embark on a national tour with fellow singer, Gallant, only for the tour to be cancelled due to Covid-19.  The Ro James Mantic album was released on Friday May 29th.

Mantic as defined by Ro James is ‘seeking knowledge of the future or unknown by supernatural means.  Plus, if you put a Ro in front of it, you get RoMantic.  The clever play on words is a taste of what you can expect from the the new album.

The lead single for the album turned out to be “Excuse Me,” which was released in 2018.  A total of six songs were released from the album before it was released, including 4 that have been released since March.  “Last Time,” which samples Usher’s “Can You Handle It,” was also released in 2019.  James’ most recent releases feature Brandy and Miguel on respective releases.
