When two queens come together, magic is bound to be made. Classic R&B legends Brandy and Monica have done just that.

The Brandy vs. Monica battle that we’d all been waiting for has finally happened, thanks to Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz. Despite their longtime “differences,” last night, the two ladies pulled up at Tyler Perry Studios and not only made magic but a whole lot of history!

From Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down” and “Almost Doesn’t Count” to Monica’s “Don’t Take It Personal” and “You Should’ve Known Better,” the virtual face-off was filled with timeless hits and an unforgettable trip down memory lane. Of course, they couldn’t have done it any other way than to end it with “The Boy Is Mine.”

With a record-breaking total of over one million viewers, diehard fans and even fellow celebrities were all in attendance for the powerful moment of nostalgia brought by Brandy and Monica.

However, it wouldn’t be right if there wasn’t also a little fun shade in the name of love and sisterhood.

If social media wasn’t raving about Brandy’s poetic interludes, Monica’s snatched waist and age of song-making were certainly the topics of discussion.

It’s safe to say, this was the most iconic at-home concert of 2020.
