Aveeno + Essence Launch Startup Pitch Competition For Skin Care Brands

Black female entrepreneurs looking to take their startup skin care brands to the next level just got the opportunity of a lifetime.  Powerhouse brands Aveeno and Essence magazine are teaming up to bring a Startup Pitch Accelerator Competition.  The deadline for the Aveeno Skin Health Startup Accelerator competition is this coming Monday, January 25th.

Aveeno released this message as part of the competition and their partnership with Essence, “We are committed to helping create a more diverse, inclusive and equitable skincare industry. That’s why we’re building on our long-standing partnership with ESSENCE® to provide access, education, resources and opportunity for Black female entrepreneurs looking to grow their skincare and haircare brands. Together, we want to support those entrepreneurs whose ideas and solutions have the power to profoundly impact the health and beauty of all skin.”


Are you a Black female entrepreneur with a product, brand or technology that meets the skincare needs of Black consumers? We’re looking for an up-and-coming innovator of body care, facial care or scalp care products who harnesses the power of natural ingredients to address the needs of all skin types. From moisturizers, serums, scrubs, cleansers and more. The winner will receive $100,000 for their skincare business, invaluable mentorship opportunities from industry experts and business leaders at ESSENCE and AVEENO®, and more.
