It is difficult to find an edge when it comes to your fitness routine. There are countless experts who recommend wildly different diets, exercises and philosophies, but few of them work.

However, CBD is one product that has the potential to help in a variety of ways.

There are a number of misconceptions surrounding CBD – not least the myth that it is a recreational, rather than a health, product – but its benefits are becoming more widely understood.

Here’s how CBD can benefit your fitness routine:

CBD can be taken in a variety of forms, to suit most needs and tastes

One of the most useful benefits of CBD is that it can be taken in a variety of different ways. This makes it easier to fit it into a flexible, fitness-orientated lifestyle with varying diets, body-types and routines.

These different CBD products – see www.thecbdsupplier.co.uk for examples – include gummies, edibles, oils and sprays. For instance, you could eat the edibles on the go – whether after a run, before the gym or during the commute to and from work every day.

It can help you recover from exercise faster

One of the most challenging aspects of sports and exercise is the recovery time between workouts or sporting events. This can often be painful and actually hinder your fitness routine over time.

This is because overstressing muscles without giving them the chance to repair will actually damage them and prevent you from exercising regularly. As a result, your improvements will plateau and leave you worse off than you were before.

CBD can help this recovery from exercise. By using a CBD rub you can reduce the muscle inflammation and pain levels, allowing you greater mobility and to return to your fitness routine sooner.

It also helps you stay fit on your recovery days, because you will be able to stay more active than you otherwise would. If, for example, you aren’t aching as much from the previous day’s work out, you could incorporate gentle exercise (such as a brisk walk) into your rest day routine.

It can help your sleeping cycle

Another way in which CBD could help your fitness routine is when it comes to your all-important shut eye. While research on the potential benefits of CBD products is still in its infancy, it is clear that many users find their sleep cycles to be improved.

Indeed, in a study conducted by Dynata in 2019, over half of users questioned listed sleep improvement as their reason for using CBD.

This is because the endocannabinoid system affects the human body’s sleep cycle. The endocannabinoid system is made up of different receptors. The two primary receptors are CB1 and CB2. CBD interacts with these receptors in order to affect the overall sleeping pattern.

In addition, CBD tackles many of the causes of poor sleep, including the core triggers behind insomnia, and by reducing chronic pain. As well as this, CBD can help those who suffer from other sleep-related issues, including REM sleep behavior disorder.
