In fact, we may be familiar with some of these hobbies, and even participate in them ourselves. Streaming on Twitch is one example of a popular activity that the rich and famous, especially musical artists, participate in in their free time.

What is Twitch?

Before we get take a look at these notable names, let’s clarify what exactly Twitch is for those that are not already familiar with it. Launched over 10 years ago in the summer of 2011, Twitch is a platform for live streaming, primarily focused on video games that can range from Esports broadcasts to a handful of other gaming genres. For example, many well-known gamers take to the site to stream their first-person shooter gameplay, while other professional poker players play the strategic card game in front of the camera, gaining millions of viewers in the process. Whatever your game of choice, there is someone out there who is busy at work streaming the content you most want to see. Doggydog20, as he is known on Twitch, boasts in nearly 370,000 followers so it’s safe to say that he is doing something right.

Logic

Former rapper Logic surpasses Snoop’s viewing base with a whopping 554,000 followers. Although the artist has retired from the music scene, he has managed to grow his fanbase in a different, virtual environment by streaming both video games and competing in live chess matches! The 31-year-old rapper turned content creator also makes rap beats on the platform and connects with followers through interactive Q&A sessions.

Justin Bieber

Moving away from famous rappers and into the pop music scene, Grammy award-winning singer Justin Bieber is also no stranger to Twitch. Instead of recording himself while playing video games, the Canadian-born star streams everything from interviews with fellow celebs to musical sessions that feature some of his greatest hits and even new material.
