On February 25, Tyler Perry brought everyone’s favorite auntie, Mable Simmons, out of retirement with his new film, A Madea Homecoming.

The Netflix-released comedy centers the beloved Madea’s great-grandson’s graduation and the trouble that follows as his rambunctious family members come to town to celebrate. It also serves as a parodic tease on Beyoncé’s concert documentary, Homecoming.

Adapted from Tyler Perry’s stage production, Madea’s Farewell Play, along with Perry, the feature stars Cassi Davis-Patton, David Mann, Tamela Mann, Gabrielle Dennis, and Brendan O’Carroll.

Of course, with every anticipated debut, Twitter was on it… per usual, and the mixed reviews started rolling in.

Here’s what they have to say about A Madea Homecoming so far.
