Black Panther 2 is upon us!!!! Although the franchise won’t be the same after the Chadwick Boseman passing, the characters and the vibranium life they lead must keep the legacy alive.

Two stars of the movie have given us a taste of what to expect and have set the bar really high. Actress, Angela Bassett, recently went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and made a bold statement. According to Yahoo Life, Angela Bassett said, “there will be a Black Panther 2. November! Look for it in November. And it will be amazing, our director Ryan Coogler. Writer [and] director, [he’s the] perfect leader. It’s gonna be amazing, it’s going to top [Black Panther] one.”

Danny Sapani, who played the role of Border Tribe leader M’Kathu, was interviewed with Entertainment Tonight. Even though he disagreed with Bassett’s comparison to Black Panther 1, he assured fans that Black Panther 2 will be AMAZING! Republic World reported that Sapani said:

“I don’t think you can compare the, to be honest with you. I think we’re just going to keep telling the story and honoring the great man [Chadwick Boseman]. All of the people that are involved with that project are very close. I think it makes for a great sort of company feel. So, I imagine it’s going to blow everyone away in the way the first one did.”

Although Bassett and Sapani didn’t give away the plot, there have been some talks about the direction of the movie, including who’s returning. According to Screen Crush,

“Marvel has revealed very few details about this sequel to date beyond its official title; it’s not even clear which character in the movie inherits the role of Black Panther and leader of Wakanda. The returning cast [includes] Letitia Wright includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira… Martin Freeman, and Winston Duke as M’Baku. One new actor who is definitely joining the cast and the MCU is Dominique Thorne, who will play Ironheart, a young woman who creates her own suit of Iron Man-esque armor, and who will get her own spinoff series on Disney+ in the future.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently scheduled to open in theaters on November 11, 2022.
