Well, don’t think anyone say this coming. Arby’s and Pusha-T have collaborated, once again. Pusha-T is part of the team that is responsible for the restaurant chain’s song used with the tagline, “We Have The Meats.” Now a Pusha-T penned McDOnald’s diss track puts the rapper in direct opposition of Ronald McDonald. The Arby’s and Pusha-T McDonald’s diss song takes the restaurant wars to a whole new level. Guess McDonalds and Arby’s officially have beef!
Pusha-T has long claimed that he co-wrote the famous “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle with his brother as part of Clipse for McDonald’s along with Pharrell and Justin Timberlake back in 2003. And while Justin walked away with a $6 million payout, Push says he received very little for his contribution. Meanwhile, Pusha says he owns 40% of the song used in the Arby’s “We Have The Meats” commercials because of the song and he gets paid to this day for it.
So the McDonald’s diss song might actually be a longtime coming.
Arby’s revealed the Pusha-T McDonald’s diss song with a social media post making it clear that they want ALL THE SMOKE.
If you think the new Arby’s x @PUSHA_T diss track is too hot, maybe you’re not quite ready for our new Spicy Fish Sandwich either. #ArbysSpicyFishDissTrack pic.twitter.com/ChVz8BUa5u
