Men admit that they’re insecure?! Yes, you read that right.
In a recent viral thread on Twitter, the fellas opened up about their insecurities, and of course, the ladies had to weigh in on the conversation as well.
The tweet, which started it all, read:
Men be acting like only women are self conscious of their bodies but you in the pool with a shirt on …
— Brat (@TherealCGx2) April 12, 2022
While some disagreed, most revealed their struggles with self-esteem, and debates were sparked from there.
In an era where the male ego is at an all-time high, the women in the replies were actually happy to see the guys being so vulnerable.
See what the Twitter streets had to say about this below.

This not true…men don’t act like women aren’t self conscious of their bodies we call BS cause y’all be looking magically delicious & still talking bout you look bad or don’t think you look good which is often absurd. We be in the pool with our shirt on cause we FORREAL look bad

Not socks in the pool but when I first met my bf he would not show me his feet until like 6 months in the relationship, never took his socks off ever, unless to shower but he’d lock the door in case I came in . He was shy of his ded toe WHICH WASNT BAD AT ALL 🤣🤣

I’m overly self conscious and it drives me cray. I always feel totally not attractive. One day I’ll actually love myself and I can’t wait for that day

I went on date with a guy who didn’t really want me to hug him because he said he had rolls and that he’d gained weight and he’s not happy about it. I told him I like rolls 🙂

— Trev (@StrokingYaMammy) April 13, 2022
The ones in denial act like that but in reality everybody is self conscious to a degree and i just think it’s important to work on yourself if you feel self conscious, health is wealth 💯

I feel attacked. As I wear a shirt on the beach/pool. I don’t even have a belly but I’m self conscious myself. I’m working on that
— CaramelDonJuan (@Du_mmor) April 12, 2022
I had this guy for 2wks NEVER take his shirt off when getting intimate & hid once when I walked in while he was changing shirts. Totally threw me off when he made a comment about the choice in clothing 2 plus sized women were wearing that showed their stomachs. Like are u fr???

— unapologetic_96 (@kissedGoregous) April 13, 2022
Yeah we just manage it at a personal level of insecurity cause we know its not good to be that way. We don’t start “fatphobic” and “fit at all sizes” movements…
— Sad Champ (@atlaz_chugged) April 12, 2022

— Shan (@rosewaterjunkie) April 12, 2022
I honestly never seen dudes deny they get self conscious, or say that its just women, i thought the disconnect was that women and men handles self consciousness differently
