Quavo Starring in New Action Thriller Film, ‘Takeover’
Quavo starring in new action thriller Takeover is definitely the talk of Hollywood right now!
According to an exclusive from Deadline, the Migos rapper is set to appear in the forthcoming film, which is helmed by Quality Films and Trioscope.
While Quality Films acts as a production extension of the record label Quavo is signed to (Quality Control), Trioscope is the company behind Netflix’s celebrated animated drama, The Liberator.
Written by Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive) and Brandon Easton (Marvel’s Agent Carter), Quavo will take on the role of Guy Miller, “a recent parolee who’s attempting to rehabilitate his life, when circumstances propel him back into Atlanta’s thriving and dangerous takeover scene,” the original article read.
“I’m really excited for this opportunity, especially shooting in my hometown of Atlanta,” Quavo told the publication. “This film is an ideal opportunity to further delve into my craft, and I can’t wait to see how the action plays out in this animated environment.”
Directed by Trioscope Chief Creative Officer Greg Jonkajtys, producers for Takeover also include Jonkajtys, L.C. Crowley, and Brandon Barr for Trioscope Studios, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Brian Sher for Quality Films, Jeb Stuart for Real Folk Productions, Don Mandrik, Quavo for Huncho Films and Jen McDaniels.
Though this is a huge project for him, Quavo starring in new action thriller Takeover doesn’t happen to be his first trip around the acting scene. The praised performer has previously been featured in Black-ish, Atlanta, and Narcos: Mexico.
We’re excited to see him further step into his actor bag!
