The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On on Netflix is the dumpster fire you didn’t know you needed in your life. I first saw a post about it on Twitter, so it’s only right that I make a post about the show based on social media reactions because bay-by! This is a hot ass mess.

The premise of The Ultimatum, according to MSN.com, goes like this…

Six couples come to the show agreeing to split up and date other people for three weeks, at the end of which they have to decide whether to put up or shut up, marry or move on. The show dangles the hope of clarity for people in relationships whose goals seem perpetually blurry. Maybe one member of the pair will decide to end the relationship having realized there are other fish in the sea, or conversely, become so jealous of seeing his or her partner with other people that they’re finally willing to settle down.

The Ultimatum series was created based on the real life relationship of the show’s hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lashay. During the first episode, Vanessa spoke about how she decided to give Lashay an ultimatum after he wasn’t ready to commit after five years. So, they decided to date other people and realized that they just wanted to be with each other.

I started watching the show and it was a TRAIN WRECK but I couldn’t stop watching. I’m happy I wasn’t the only one because social media reactions have been off the charts. Even, Kev on Stage tweeted about it.

Here are some of the best reactions (in my opinion) I’ve seen of The Ultimatum so far without giving any spoilers:
