The news of Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish child sexual abuse and molestation lawsuit has been giving the internet fits since it broke last week. Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears are accused of grooming and molesting two underage siblings in a pair of comedic skits. A lawsuit was filed against both comedians in the Los Angeles Superior Court last Monday, August 29th.

The victims have been identified as “Jane Doe” and “John Doe.” According to them, the incident allegedly caused them significant trauma throughout their preadolescence. The lawsuit was filed by Jane Doe, who is now 22 years old.  The fake names are used because the incidents occurred when they were minors.

The Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish allegations claim that Haddish and Spears urged the siblings to engage in sexually provocative behaviors on tape while they were minors. There are two separate sketches, separately involving Jane, who was 14 at the time, and a year later involving John, who was 7 years old.  The “Mind of a Pedophile” sketch starring John and Aries Spears has been making waves on the internet for several years now.  At one point it could be found on Spears’ YouTube channel. The sketches were recorded years ago however.  John Doe is 14 years old now.

In “The Mind of a Pedophile,” which is still circulating on Twitter, Haddish’s character leaves her son with her uncle while she goes to work.  The uncle, the pedophile, is played by Aries Spears.  The skit was intended to be a PSA on why you shouldn’t leave your children with just anyone, but the sketch was not only not funny, but it was also extremely cringeworthy.

Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish has come out to address the allegations. She stated that the sketch was meant to be a comical one and she deeply regrets her actions.

John, her younger brother, was born in 2007, and Jane, who is now 22 years old, is John’s legal guardian. Their mother was who introduced them to Haddish as a family friend.

After learning about the alleged instances, she expressed that she was “distraught, immensely sad, depressed, shocked, cold, numb, nauseous, and suicidal for trusting Haddish with her children.”  The mother was not present for either of the shoots.

The mother filed a lawsuit against Aries Spears a few years ago and did settle for an undisclosed amount of money.  Tiffany Haddish was not part of that suit.  Spears did not admit to anything illegal in the settlement, but he did promise to delete the footage and remove it from any sites where it was posted.

More details from the lawsuit on the grooming skit with Tiffany Haddish

According to the molestation lawsuit, Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears encouraged Jane Doe and her younger brother to participate in inappropriate sexually suggestive behaviors in sketches.

Jane was made to watch a clip of some college students fighting over a subway meal. In the recording, the students “started eating the sandwich in a manner that imitated the act of fellatio” from different ends, “moaning and making sexual noises as they both ate the sandwich.”

Later, the 14-year-old was instructed to imitate everything she had seen on the screen, including the noises she had heard throughout the entire video. Jane who was “nervous and disgusted,” remained mute until Haddish entered the room.

Jane told the Daily Beast, “I tried to mimic what they wanted me to mimic, but it still came out just super uncomfortable.” Haddish allegedly made a similar pitch to the mother of the kids a year later in order to secure the services of John, Jane’s younger brother, for another video.

Although the comedian allegedly informed the family that John would be making a sizzle reel for Nickelodeon. The 7-year-old ended up appearing in a video called “The Mind of a Pedophile” that was posted on Funny or Die and other online platforms.

According to a statement by a Funny or Die official, “Funny Or Die found this video absolutely disgusting and would never produce such content.”

The spokesperson further revealed stated, “We were not involved with the conceptualization, development, funding, or production of this video. It was uploaded to the site as user-generated content and was removed in 2018 immediately after becoming aware of its existence.”
