DJ Akademiks knows its never a good thing to be the subject of the story. The media personality/DJ was caught on video Thursday October 13th in what appeared to be an altercation with his girlfriend. In the video you can see Akademiks screaming loudly at a woman as he attempts to calm her down. He appears to scream, “I’m the prize!” The DJ Akademiks altercation with his girlfriend takes a turn after she takes his hat off his head and throws it, across what seems to be a lobby. Once he moves to retrieve his hat the two women in the camera view begin fighting. And almost immediately another woman comes into view swinging punches at Akademiks’ girl.
You have to see it yourself. Watch the DJ Akademiks altercation with his girlfriend video below:
Akademiks has since took to social media to attempt to explain the situation. While he was posting in his own stories about Lil Baby, he chose to comment on TheShadeRoom’s post about this situation instead. Here’s what he had to say:

The video seems to confirm that he was trying to break up a fight. He didn’t do a great job at protecting his girl in the end, but these situations can be a lot.
Social media has a love|hate relationship with DJ Akademiks and this altercation didn’t help. These tweets kind of sum up the overall feelings about him:
