Irv Gotti, R&B singer, Ashanti’s former boss alleged that he and Ashanti had an affair in the early 2000s on Drink Champs and in the Murder Inc Documentary on BET. The songstress is seemingly finally addressing the matter in a new song. Ashanti recorded a remix to Diddy and Bryson Tiller’s “Gotta Move On” which has been making its rounds on the internet.

Ashanti seemingly replies to Irv Gotti on her version of the song. appears that Ashanti had some words for the Murder Inc. mogul on the aptly named track. Diddy felt the need to add Ashanti to the song based on the information Irv Gotti had put out about her.
October 5th on The Breakfast Club Diddy said he felt it was the best idea and perfect platform for her to get out some of her thoughts on the situation.
At the time that Irv Gotti alleges he kissed Ashanti, he was 30 years old and married while Ashanti was 19 or 20 years old. Some have made comments towards the 10 year age gap between the two. Irv Gotti suggests that his actions were not predatory.

In her lyrics, it is no secret that Ashanti is taking direct shots at Irv Gotti. She said it had been 20 years and that he needs to move on. This is basically what she was stating with her lyrics. Irv Gotti had something to say about it all.
On the MTV VMA Red Carpet, Irv Gotti was given a chance to reassess his accusations of an affair with Ashanti. However, he didn’t take anything back. Instead, he barreled down on his statements. Saying that what he had said was nothing but the truth. He even went on to wish Ashanti the best.
We are now curious to see what Irv Gotti’s clapback will be now that the track has been released. And it is clear that the words Ashanti is singing are aimed at him.
