Safaree Samuels stays in some hot water. Recently, the Love & Hip Hop star reposted an old image of himself and hip hop icon, Nicki Minaj (his ex-girlfriend), on her 40th birthday (December 8th) — and lets just say, her fans wholeheartedly did not appreciate the sentimental gesture.
Initially, Loustar (a member of Hoodstars) showed his former bandmate Nicki love by posting a throwback photo of them (with Scaff B. also) wearing all blue and working in the studio. Loustar captioned the pic: “#TBT One of the many nights in the stu! @ganggang_ent_gge I gave yall this one yet barbs?👀 Cleaning up I found madddd pics from back in the HOODSTARS days😅 #HappyBdayNick #doremember #noregretsjustlove.”
Well, Safaree saw that as a prime opportunity to repost Loustar’s birthday tribute via his Instagram story and wrote: “I wouldn’t change anything about my past!! I’m like Kanye I love everybody.” Soon after, fans of Nicki Minaj began to drag Safaree online in an effort to shield her from malarkey.
“That’s what you had to say on her birthday? Talk about corny,” said one fan. Someone else posted, “Chile worry about Erica (Mena) and them kids you begged for.” Another chimed in, “Every day I see more and more why Nicki grew tired of him.” “Imagine your baby father posting his ex on her birthday [clown emoji],” another fan tweeted.
