Young Thug Hit with New Misdemeanor Charges Ahead of YSL RICO Trial

YSL Rapper Young Thug has been hit with new misdemeanor charges ahead of the YSL RICO trial.

Next month will see Young Thug and Gunna stand trial, for their 56-count RICO indictment case. The two Atlanta rappers, along with 26 other YSL members, were initially arrested in May of 2022. Thug and Gunna have each since been denied bond requests, three times.

Young Thug has been hit with plenty of serious charges, since his indictment. However, even more charges are being handed down. According to WSB-TV 2, Thug has been hit with misdemeanor charges of street racing, reckless driving, and speeding. In May of 2022, he’s said to have been driving a car at 120mph.

Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steele, has since released a statement regarding these charges according to Hip-Hop Vibe: “As of two weeks ago, that case was being resolved with a seatbelt violation. Today, now it’s indicted in the Fulton County Superior Court.”

The RICO trial for Young Thug, Gunna and many other YSL members was initially aimed to begin in March of 2022, but Atlanta D.A Fani Willis filed a motion in order to allow other YSL members time to get legal representation. As of today, many members are still without legal representation and will still stand trial, on January 5, 2023.

Many of the YSL members being charges are facing life in prison.
