Main question is — will Oscars 2023 host Jimmy Kimmel reference the Will Smith/Chris Rock slap incident from last year’s award show in his bit? Guess it remains to be seen. With that said, the 95th Academy Awards nominees list has been released and it’s full of doozies. For instance, Rihanna received her first ever Oscar nomination for Best Original Song (“Lift Me Up” from the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack). Likewise, Angela Bassett has been nominated for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her portrayal as Queen Ramonda in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”; this marks Bassett’s first acting Academy Award nomination.

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” received the most Oscar nods with 11 nominations. “All Quiet on the Western Front” garnered 10 nominations. “Elvis” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” each received 8 nominations. “The Fabelmans” by Steven Spielberg received nominations in 7 categories. Todd Field’s “Tár” took home 6 nominations. And box office smasher “Avatar: The Way of Water” by James Cameron earned 4 nominations, including Best Picture.

Below is the complete list of Oscar 2023 nominees:
