Lauryn Hill and Nas are featured on the “Big George Foreman” soundtrack. The forthcoming George Foreman biopic, which stars Khris Davis (“Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” “Atlanta”) follows the iconic boxer’s meteoric rise from a poverty-stricken boy in Texas to the heavyweight champion of the world. The trailer is soundscaped partially by a make over of Nas and Lauryn Hill’s timeless track “If I Ruled The World” (1996), which is on It Was Written, Nas’ second L.P.

Big George Foreman” is scheduled to hit theaters on April 28. The first trailer for the impending George Forman biopic was recently released by Sony Pictures. “From director George Tillman Jr. comes the sports drama, Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World. The film tells the story of heavyweight champion George Foreman, who rose to fame in the late 1960s when he became an Olympic Gold Medalist in the boxing/heavyweight division,” according to Sony.

Aside from Lauryn Hill and Nas glittering the soundtrack for “Big George Forman,” the biopic stars Forest Whitaker, Sullivan Jones, Jasmine Mathews, John Magaro, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Sonja Sohn, and of course Davis. As per an official synopsis: “Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World” is based on the remarkable true story of one of the greatest comebacks of all time and the transformational power of second chances. Fueled by an impoverished childhood, Foreman channeled his anger into becoming an Olympic Gold medalist and World Heavyweight Champion, followed by a near-death experience that took him from the boxing ring to the pulpit. But when he sees his community struggling spiritually and financially, Foreman returns to the ring and makes history by reclaiming his title, becoming the oldest and most improbable World Heavyweight Boxing Champion ever.”
