Michael Blackson doesn’t mind roasting his Hollywood friends… or does he?! The legendary Hip-Hop award-winning podcast Drink Champs does it again and brings us the most recent and rawest interview with one of the best stand-up comedians in the business, Michael Blackson, to speak on building schools in Ghana, his journey in life and comedy, Next Friday (the movie) and much more!

Blackson gets candid about the reason he decided to build schools and expands on what life is like for young children in Africa. He expresses he had a vision about 20 years ago after returning home from rapping up the movie Next Friday with Ice Cube and decided to set a goal to return and make a difference. He said when he was able, he went back to a village where his mother was born and owned land and decided that is where he would build a school. Mostly to avoid “land dispute,” which is popular in Africa, according to Blackson, and legacy.

The 50-year-old talks about his new music endeavors and brings out a signed artist from his company, Michael Blackson Management, while clearing up conversations about Afrobeats, recent Akon comments, and the differences in Black American and Black African cultures. Additionally, N.O.R.E. gets Blackson to explain what it’s like from his point of view when he roasts a fellow Hollywood friend and what things are like when he goes too far!
