Flo Rida’s energy drink launching soon? The rapper is cracking open a can of his own competing beverage to celebrate winning his case against the fitness drink company Celsius.
The “Right Round” spitter took home $82.6 million in January after a jury in South Florida determined that Celsius had violated the terms of an endorsement agreement that stretched from 2014 to 2018.
The judges concluded that the 43-year-old Hip-Hop sensation was underpaid for his role in popularizing Celsius among “millions around the world.”
JettSet1, Flo’s new beverage, is an energy drink with all-natural components that are softly carbonated. In the first quarter of 2024, it is anticipated to start selling in stores.
Flo Rida told Insider, “Coming from the success of Celsius, when they had no name and the marketing was very little, I took that product and I took it worldwide. This is the thing that we wanna do with JettSet1.”
How Flo Rida’s Energy Drink May Rival Popular Brand Celsius
The Florida native continued, “I already know the field. Celsius is great, but at the same time, we want to take something and make it even greater, even healthier.”
According to co-founder Dr. George Tabi, the beverage will be distributed by Flo’s recently established JettSet1 Enterprises and is intended to help consumers “get the best out of their immune system” by using only “healthy, responsible components.”
Flo Rida furthered, “Everyone knows me as a guy who works out. You look at my music videos like ‘Good Feeling’ and they are a reflection of me and my healthy lifestyle. That’s what we want JettSet1 to be.
“To see me go to trial and be very disruptive in that field, it’s just really organic to my lifestyle. I mean, who would you believe in? Someone who lives the lifestyle but doesn’t know anything about business? Or vice versa? I know the business and I live the lifestyle,” he added.
JettSet1 Enterprises co-founder Erik Hicks stated that despite its claims of being healthy, the beverage will “taste better than every energy drink on the market.”
