Wait, Vice President Kamala Harris’ Spotify playlist has been released!? That’s correct.

To encapsulate her ongoing journey throughout the continent, Vice President Kamala Harris has published an official Spotify playlist featuring African music.

The playlist, called “My Travels: Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia,” is now available on the streaming platform and aims to “amplify the artists and sounds from my travels” to those nations, as stated in its description.

The vice president touched down in Ghana on Sunday (March 26) for her inaugural trip to Africa while holding office, and is scheduled to visit Tanzania on Wednesday and Zambia on Friday before returning to the U.S. on Sunday.

Vice President Harris assembled the music selection by showcasing musicians of Ghanaian and Ghanaian-American descent, like Black Sherif, Moses Sumney, and Amaarae; Tanzanian and Tanzanian-American musicians like Harmonize, Alikiba, and Zuchu; and Zambian and Zambian-American musicians, which include Chef 187, Yo Maps, and Chile One Mr. Zambia.

Spotify extended its support to the launch of Vibrate Space in 2022. During her visit, Harris engaged in discussions at the studio with local artists who have been featured on her playlist.
