Bronx drill rapper Nas EBK has been arrested in New Jersey and charged with second-degree murder. According to reports, the rapper allegedly killed 22-year-old Idressa Siby in a shooting incident that occurred in Times Square, New York City, in February. The Nas EBK second degree murder arrest is a huge shock for the rising star.
The rapper, whose real name is Nasir Valenzuela, is accused of arguing with Idressa Siby before allegedly shooting him in the chest. Siby attempted to flee but collapsed a block later and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Nas EBK was arrested in New Jersey and transferred back to Midtown for his arrest. Police confirmed that the rapper and the victim knew each other and Siby was the intended target.
Nas EBK is currently in custody and has claimed his innocence. He posted a photo on his Instagram page on the day of his arrest that read “INNOCENT!!” and captioned it, “ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME !!! BE HOME SOON !! FREE DA GUYS !!”

This arrest comes just weeks after Nas EBK was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and assault over a YouTube prank video filmed in a New Jersey grocery store. The video was named “We Got Arrested For Trespassing Never Again.” The video, which was posted on Buba100x’s YouTube channel, showed Nas EBK and Buba100x asking shoppers odd questions and screaming loudly.
The situation escalated, with authorities claiming that Nas EBK brandished a “scalpel-style knife” and threatened the employee. He was charged with possessing a weapon for unlawful purposes, simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
Nas EBK is part of the drill scene in New York, which has a contentious relationship with law enforcement. The allegations against him are particularly worrisome given the current tensions between the city of New York and hip-hop.
Although the rapper has released several tracks, he is known for his online antics. Despite his legal troubles, Nas EBK continues to promote himself on social media, and in one recent post, he teased new music coming soon and said that he would be out in no time. As the case unfolds, the hip-hop world will watch closely to see how it affects Nas EBK’s music career.
