Every Breath She Takes, a new thriller movie on Lifetime starring Tamala Jones, premiered on March 25 on the network. But… is Tamala Jones’ new Lifetime movie based on a true story?
The main character of the movie is a woman who believes her abusive husband is dead after their home was destroyed by fire. But, she soon begins to have a lot of strange occurrences happen to her and sees visions of her spouse.
Check out the movie’s official Lifetime summary:
Jules Baker thinks her problems are over when her abusive husband Billy is killed after a struggle and fire that destroys their house. As she rebuilds her life and home, rumors swirl around town–“that’s the one that killed her husband” and problems with the insurance have fingers pointing at Jules when it’s found out that the fire was set intentionally.
After a series of frightening events and the fact that she thinks she keeps seeing her dead husband, Jules believes she may be going crazy. Or is Billy actually still alive and coming for her, ready to destroy everything she’s rebuilt?’
Is Tamala Jones’ New Lifetime Movie Based on a True Story?
Every Breath She Takes is not based on a factual story, regrettably. Yet Jennifer Edwards and Amy Katherine Taylor’s joint efforts, which drew on their outstanding writing skills and years of professional experience, are to be praised for creating the captivating screenplay.
The screenplay manages to be both captivating and realistic because the authors made sure to add certain timely issues when developing the plot. In real life, for example, domestic violence and violent relationships are hardly unheard of.

In addition to Tisha Campbell and Jackée Harry, Jones plays the lead in the Lifetime film. Darin Scott is the director.
