[FIRST LOOK] Meet the Cast of Netflix’s ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’
The brand-new period drama series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is the precursor to the popular Shondaland production Bridgerton. The Bridgerton spin-off will be coming to Netflix in May and is written by Shonda Rhimes who also serves as executive producer alongside Betsy Beers and Tom Verica.
In this prequel set in the Bridgerton universe, the marriage of the young Queen Charlotte to King George of England sets off an epic love tale and has a profound effect on high society. The show goes back in time to capture Queen Charlotte’s childhood as well as her rise to the throne of England.
Additionally, it will focus on Charlotte as a young woman and the romantic relationships she has during that time taking viewers on a journey through her life from the very beginning. The preteen portrayal of Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury will also have their story told in the spinoff.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’s cast includes Adjoa Andoh, Arsema Thomas, Corey Mylchreest, Golda Rosheuvel, Hugh Sachs, India Ria Amarteifio, Michelle Fairley, Ruth Gemmell, and Sam Clemmett. The series will run for a total of 374 minutes over the course of its six episodes. Here is what to expect!
India Amarteifio as younger Queen Charlotte
India Amarteifio, who is most known for her role as a teacher in the Netflix series Sex Education, will play a younger version of Queen Charlotte in the upcoming prequel, despite the fact that the British Royal Family had other plans for her.
Arsema Thomas as younger Agatha Danbury
Arsema Thomas is a new face joining the Bridgerton Story cast, making her debut on television playing the role of young Agatha Danbury. Agatha attains the role of an illuminating beacon for the newly-crowned Queen while simultaneously discovering her own voice and gaining authority.
Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte
Golda Rosheuvel will continue to play an older version of Queen Charlotte in the upcoming season. The Guyanese British actress disclosed on BBC One studio how moles were drawn on her younger Bridgerton character to make her look like her.
Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury
Adjoa Andoh will play the part of Lady Danbury, which she had previously in Bridgerton. She and Rosheuvel were recently seen on the red carpet at an exclusive premiere of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story in South Africa.
