Jamie Foxx hospitalized? Here’s what we know about the Oscar-winning actor’s current health scare.
On Wednesday night (April 12), Foxx’s family announced that the iconic trouper had been admitted to a hospital in Atlanta due to an undisclosed “medical complication.”
Via Instagram, Corinne Foxx (Foxx’s daughter) posted the following statement, “We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
No other information was provided, but some websites, including TMZ, said Foxx was originally transported to the hospital on Tuesday.

The “Any Given Sunday” star was reportedly in Atlanta filming Back in Action, a Netflix comedy that sees Cameron Diaz take the screen again after almost ten years. Along with Jamie Demetriou and Andrew Scott, the movie is directed by Seth Gordon, who worked with Foxx on Horrible Bosses.
The 2005 biopic “Ray,” in which Foxx, 55, played the pianist and singer Ray Charles, earned him the best actor Oscar. That same year, he also received a nomination for his work in the Tom Cruise film Collateral for ‘Best Supporting Actor.’
Additional blockbuster movies he’s starred in are Annie, Django Unchained, Law Abiding Citizen, Bait, and the Spider-Man series.

Additionally, Foxx has released five albums, four of which have charted in the US Top 10, and in 2010 for the song Blame It, he was honored with a Grammy.
