A court has mandated that DeAndre Way, better known as Soulja Boy, pay a substantial fine for an assault case involving his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers in 2019.
According to Rolling Stone, the “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” hitmaker was charged with kidnapping Myers, hitting her with a firearm, and threatening to murder her four years prior.
He is now required to make a $235,900 damage payment.
In accordance with court records that the outlet was able to get, a jury decided on Tuesday, April 25, that $1,800 of the funds would be paid to Myers for “mental health” expenses and the remaining sum would be used to compensate her for “mental and physical pain and suffering.”

Soulja Boy Hit Ex-Girlfriend in Head w/ Gun & Now Has to Pay Up
According to reports, back in 2019, Myers filed a police report outlining an incident between her and Soulja Boy. The 32-year-old allegedly approached the victim at a party in Malibu, and the two got into a fight.
She continued by saying that Soulja “kicked her in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, and then aimed a “gun at her head,” saying she “was going to die.”
Additionally said in the report is that Way “next directed his assistant to take her in the garage and tie her up with duct tape.”
The Atlanta native is also said to have forced Myers to take a bath in front of him and the assistant.
When the incident happened, Soulja Boy insisted he was innocent and “denied all accusations of wrongdoing and demanded the lawsuit be dropped.” The damage to Kayla Myers, as claimed by Way, was caused by “third parties,” and he did not take part in the incident.
Since the court’s latest ruling, Soulja Boy has not yet provided a public response.
