Could the upcoming Challengers movie, starring Zendaya be a “love” fable that’ll impress hearts and minds everlastingly?
The much-anticipated first trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s next motion picture, which stars Zendaya and Josh O’Connor in what is being characterized as a romantic sports comedy, has finally been made public.
As professional tennis player Tashi, Zendaya co-stars with O’Connor and Mike Faist.
In Challengers, Tashi and her husband Art (Faist) are followed as they meet up with Patrick (O’Connor), a former foe who is also Tashi’s ex-lover and best friend. Tashi persuades Art to sign up for Challengers (a tennis tournament), but when Art finds out he’ll be facing Patrick, drama — and fierce competition — follow.
The movie’s official logline states: “Challengers” follows “three players who knew each other when they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to be the world-famous grand slam winner and reignite old rivalries on and off the court.”
