Mr. & Mrs. Smith, starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, has unveiled its first visual. In November, Prime Video will debut the Mr. and Mrs. Smith series.
The series’ official synopsis states: “John and Jane Smith enter into a new phase of their marriage after agreeing to work as spies for a mysterious agency.”
Glover and Erskine portray Jane and John Smith in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Doug Liman’s 2005 movie with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt serves as the inspiration for the TV show. With a $110 million budget and $487 million in box office revenue, the action comedy based on married assassins hired to rub each other out was a smashing success.
Glover, Erskine, Parker Posey, John Turturro, Paul Dano, and Wagner Moura are among the ensemble cast in addition to Parker Posey and Michaela Coel.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith To Star Donald Glover
The ATL star and Francesca Sloane co-executive produced and co-created the forthcoming show on Prime Video. Initially, Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were going to star in and co-create Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
But the Dial of Destiny actress abandoned the project as a result of creative disagreements.

In reference to walking out on Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Waller-Bridge told Vanity Fair, “I worked on that show for six months fully in heart and mind and really cared about it-still care about it.
“And I know it’s gonna be brilliant. But sometimes it’s about knowing when to leave the party. You don’t want to get in the way of a vision.”
