According to an insider, Nelly recently inked a $50 million deal for half of his music catalog.
A deal between the hip hop star and HarbourView Equity Partners calls for the acquisition of “select recorded assets” from the multi-platinum-selling repertoire of the Grammy winner, including his most recognizable songs, “Ride Wit Me,” “Dilemma” with Kelly Rowland, and the blockbuster hit “Hot in Herre.”
For the St. Lous native, the exhilarating news doesn’t end there. The hip-hop icon and businessman is entering the studio to create his new album, Heartland 2, which will please his fans.
Heartland, the album that preceded this one, was Nelly’s first fully country-influenced album. It featured the triple-platinum single “Lil Bit,” as well as works with Breland and others.
Heartland 2 promises to be the all-female collaborative, country-inspired sequel.
Nelly Gets A Grip For His Music Catalog
Nelly has just debuted MoShine, his most recent artistic endeavor, which was motivated by his passion for both country music and hip-hop.
MoShine evidently “blends the southern swagger and heartland hustle that unites his two worlds while giving a nod to his hometown of St. Louis, ‘MO’ where it all comes together.”
Meanwhile, it appears the hip hop sensation and Ashanti are rekindling their romance after igniting romance rumors back in June.
In response to the couple’s latest sighting together in Las Vegas, a source informed publications that “Nelly and Ashanti are back together and both of them are very happy.”
Late in April, as the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia brawl was taking place, Nelly and Ashanti were spotted walking around the T-Mobile Arena holding hands.
