The Weeknd‘s The Idol series finale aired over the weekend on HBO, and it seems they fired a shot at Kanye West.

The show has generated controversy since the beginning over issues including how it portrays women. Additionally, the show received persistent criticism from critics for allegedly poor acting and writing during its entire run. According to TMZ, the show threw shade at Kanye West, another source of controversy, in its penultimate episode.

Last year, the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” spitter made a name for himself by launching a slew of antisemitic tirades. He admitted his admiration for Adolf Hitler in an interview when his erratic behavior was at its worst.

Even when offered the chance to elaborate, instead Ye reaffirmed his claims. Now, several months later, The Idol is criticizing his remarks.

The show’s star Jocelyn tries to persuade her management that she is prepared to go back on tour, but they are unpersuaded. She makes what appears to be an erroneous claim that Kanye West is the reason why she can go on tour. “You know f*cking Kanye was filling arenas until he decided to start following Adolf Hitler,” she snarks.

Ye is attempting to have two pending lawsuits dismissed in which he is a party dismissed. The first pertains to a location that GAP rented for their joint venture. According to reports, West broke the terms of the contract by making long-term alterations to the area.

GAP is now refuting that they are to blame for West’s behavior in space. The rap sensation is also attempting to have the lawsuit dismissed on his own behalf.

In addition, the Watch The Throne hitmaker is coping with the ongoing legal dispute with his Donda Academy.

Three teachers filed a lawsuit against the school, alleging that their termination was motivated by race. West disputed every accusation and said he played no part in them directly.
