Bill Murray, 72, and Kelis, 44, have reportedly chosen to split after just eight weeks of dating. Here’s everything we know about the alleged Kelis and Bill Murray break up.
The “Milkshake” singer, according to PageSix, is the one who allegedly broke things off with the “Groundhog Day” actor. According to an insider, “Bill and Kelis were and still are very fond of each other, but things just ran their course.”
After a short courtship, they decided to part ways because they both have busy schedules. They want to stay in touch while continuing with their lives.
The “Ghostbusters” actor, who has six sons between his ex-wives, and Kelis kept their romance a secret for the duration of it until now.
Just one day before The Sun published a story regarding their breakup, the songstress made it obvious that her and Murray were not dating.
Kelis Gives Bill Murray The Boot
Upon being asked via social media if she was “really dating Murray,” the mother of three replied, “Ugh, no!” The diva spoke in a different tone when asked by fans to address the dating allegations in the earlier months.
“Would you mind reacting to these allegations against Bill Murray, ma’am?” She said, “Why, damn!” A fan had a query about one of the “Got Your Money” singer’s swimsuit pics under it in June. “What’s he going to do with all that?”
When asked about the story, Kelis replied, “LOL no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all,” neither disputing or confirming it. She went on to say that she and the aged actor are “both happy, rich, and blessed.”
The twosome came to public attention for the first time in early June when the comedian was spotted accompanying Kelis to a concert in London. According to someone close to the couple, they were shacking up at the time and had been “getting close for a while after initially hitting it off in the US.”
They seemed to have bonded over their shared sorrow. While the singer lost her second husband Mike Mora in March 2022, Murray recently lost Jennifer Butler (his divorced wife) Ed (his older brother). “They have that similar tie between them and have both had very recent bereavements,” spoke the insider at the time.
Despite their extreme age differences, they are both single and having a good time, which is why they may have attracted one another.
