You’re going to adore the forthcoming CBS special if you liked the tribute performance which chucked a salute to 50 years of hip hop at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop, a special live concert celebrating hip hop pioneers, will premiere on CBS on December 10 (Sunday) at 8:30/7:30c (8 p.m. PT), according to CBS and The Recording Academy.
Additionally, it will be streamable on Paramount+ for those who have Showtime subscriptions, both live and on demand (through the feed of their local CBS station), and on demand the day after for those who have Paramount+ Essential.
On November 8, the special will be recorded in Los Angeles at the YouTube Theater.

Grammy-winning spitters and hip hop legends, including Rakim, Jermaine Dupri, Black Thought, Queen Latifah, De La Soul, Common, Talib Kweli, The Lady Of Rage, Remy Ma, MC Sha-Rock, J.J. Fad, The Pharcyde, LL Cool J, Bun B, Monie Love, Questlove, Yo-Yo, and Uncle Luke will rock the mic at the special tribute concert to commemorate the 50th anniversary of hip hop.
The live concert spectacular will highlight and pay homage to the genre’s rich cultural heritage and global influence. At a later time, more performers will be revealed.

The producers of A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop include Shawn Gee, Dionne Harmon, Claudine Joseph, Fatima Robinson, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson of Two One Five Entertainment, and Jesse Collins (Jesse Collins Entertainment).
Executive producers include Jeannae Rouzan-Clay and LL Cool J. Marcello Gamma is also the director of the special.
