Whew, it’s been a long two days for Meek Mill. The Philly rapper has been vehemently defending his name on X, formerly known as Twitter, following intense rumors about his sexuality. The wild rumors arose after media personality DJ Akademiks suggested that Meek’s name was redacted in a new lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The suit, filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, alleged that Diddy and Meek engaged in a sexual relationship. It also mentioned a number of other parties, including Justin Combs, Yung Miami, Stevie J, Cuba Gooding Jr., and others. Although the Dream Chasers musician’s name isn’t explicitly listed in the filing, many are convinced that one of its footnotes listed as “a Philadelphia Rapper who dated Nicki Minaj” refers to him. Akademiks in particular, seems pretty confident that the mystery person is indeed Meek Mill. He even resorted to calling the artist “Freak Mill.” However, Meek was not having it and, judging by his seemingly endless firestorm of tweets, is willing to “die” over his disagreement with Ak.
“I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky ass molly … nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy …. No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped … woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I’m coming! lol,” Meek wrote.

Shortly after, Akademiks quoted him saying, “This all this stupid n**a had to tweet.. coming on here tryna beef wit me to sell a record like i made the sht up.”

After their heated internet exchange, Meek tweeted, “In my city we don’t do no talk. You want the street n***as to die fr I can’t wait til that liquor hit your organs.”
Not one to back down from threats, Ak replied, “Na when you talk about Asking for my address online u talking about DEATH games. U must think u invincible. U dont talk about pullin up to street nas homes cuz u aint on that wit em. So dont that be on that wit me.”
To that sentiment, Meek said, “I’ll die to shut you down.”
“Well noted. My address on google. u still tweeting,” Ak shot back.
Amid the viral social media beef, Meek Mill took time to promote his new album Heathenism. He had been doing so while Akademiks was busy continuing to throw shade on X. Despite the controversy, fans of Meek are praising Heathenism in efforts to celebrate his talent instead of spreading rumors.
