Following Cowboy Carter’s release on March 29, Spotify announced that the album had achieved the status of being the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 thus far, marking the first time a country album held this title for the year.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Amazon Music declared, Cowboy Carter signifies Beyoncé’s most monumental album debut on our platform, boasting the highest number of first-day global streams among all her albums. Thus securing the record for the most initial streams for a country album with Cowboy Carter by a female artist with her chart-topping hits.

ACHIEVED THE BIGGEST OPENING WEEK IN 2024 IN THE U.S

Cowboy Carter secured the top spot for the biggest opening week in the U.S. in 2024, aided by its debut with 407,000 equivalent album units, as reported by Luminate, a data analysis company.

This figure comprised 232,000 units from streaming, 168,000 from traditional album sales, and 7,000 track equivalent albums, marking the album’s most successful sales week for a country album since Taylor Swift’s Speak Now.
