Whew chile! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for Sean “Diddy” Combs, he got hit with another blow to his reputation. This time, it’s regarding a viral surveillance video of him allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

The surveillance footage, reportedly dated March 2016, surfaced via CNN on Friday, May 17th. In it, Cassie is seen being allegedly assaulted by Diddy at the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

The disturbing video shows Cassie exiting her hotel room and walking towards the elevator before Diddy storms out with just a towel around his waist. He then allegedly grabs her by the neck, strikes her down, kicks her multiple times, and drags her. In a separate clip, the singer is seen attempting to make a call with the hotel phone but Diddy reappears in the hallway and throws what seems to be a vase in her direction.

Cassie previously detailed an incident, which seemingly match up to the surveillance footage, in her lawsuit filed against Diddy back in November, 2023.

“In or around March 2016, during an FO at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, Mr. Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye,” she wrote in the suit. She added that her music mogul ex “grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”

According to the filing, Diddy reportedly paid InterContinental Hotel $50,000 for footage of the incident which was listed as one of many others in Cassie’s lawsuit. However, he denied all the allegations and they both ended up settling for an undisclosed amount. Now that the March 2016 surveillance video has been making rounds online though, things have gone completely left.

Worth noting is that Cassie and Diddy made an appearance at a public event together two days after the incident.

“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement about the footage.

TMZ reported that a rep for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts released a statement saying, “This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.” Additionally, Law enforcement sources told the outlet that there isn’t a record cops can track down pertaining to the 2016 incident at the InterContinental. Therefore, it doesn’t appear to have been mentioned in a police report or reported to the authorities.
