Since Mariah Carey released her “It’s Time” video on November 1st, the Christmas season has come in full swing. And while Mariah will also be the Queen of Christmas, there are always new singers and albums to continue the Christmas tradition.

Carey’s classic hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has been certified 16x Platinum by the RIAA. The record came from her 1994 Christmas album Merry Christmas. Since it’s release, the song hit the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time back in 2017. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” reached the top five in the 2018 holiday season. The song became Carey’s 19th Hot 100 No. 1 which is the most among solo singers. She is also the first artist to rank No. 1 on the charts in four consecutive decades (90s to 20s).

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” celebrates another achievement as being the first-holiday song to break 2 billion streams on Spotify. The songstress isn’t slowing down anytime soon as she is in the middle of her Christmas Time Tour.

Everyone knows that Carey’s song is a classic, but you can never have too many songs on your Christmas playlist. Artists like Victoria Monét and Coco Jones have released Christmas projects this year that are sure to make your holidays a little bit brighter.

Victoria Monét released A Jaguar II Christmas: Orchestral Arrangements, an eight-track collection of fan-favorite songs remastered in orchestral renditions. The project is entirely instrumental so you can enjoy it in the background as you sip some eggnog or host a party with friends or family.

Coco Jones put out a new Christmas EP called Coco By The Fireplace. Jones brings a modern R&B flair to the Christmas genre throughout its four tracks. Her soulful voice blends perfectly with holiday charm and is sure to get you in the Christmas season. Whether you are single, have a partner, or are feeling blue this season, Coco has a song for everyone.
