I think it’s fair to say that 2024 gave us some pretty good movies. Marvel came out with its iconic Deadpool & Wolverine, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo showed us their amazing vocals in Wicked, Pixar gave us Inside Out 2, and many more. Thunderbolts
Marvel is set to release Thunderbolts on May 2nd of next year. Yelena confided in her dad telling him she feels empty. She said she attempted to throw herself into work, and the trailer reveals that she’s a secret agent.
She finds herself trapped in a room with other people like her and a ticking time bomb. In a fight of bad versus worse, the movie seems thrilling and action-packed, so that’s one to look out for next year.
Sinners
Sinners is a horror movie set to be released on April 18th, 2025. The main character (played by Michael B Jordan) is trying to start anew with his twin brother at their old hometown. However, he starts to see supernatural things that he’s never encountered before, and begins to realize that there is something evil there. If you are into spooky supernatural things such as ghosts and magic, this one may be for you.
Ballerina
Ballerina, a John Wick spin-off, is going to be released on June 6th of 2025. The main character is a ballerina-assassin trying to get revenge on the person who brutally murdered her father, as was trained by people who are in charge of assassins all over the world. The movie is said to bring back many familiar characters in the John Wick series, so if you like John Wick, you should check this one out.
Elio
Elio is a kids movie set to come out on June 13th, 2025. He is mistaken as Earth’s leader and is sucked into a beam that takes him to the Communiverse. Here he meets aliens that he bonds with and goes through a journey of self growth. If you have a kid into space and other universes, you might want to put this one on your list.
F1
F1 is set to be released on June 27th, 2025. A former racecar driver (Brad Pitt) comes back to a Formula 1 racing to go up against top competition. He also ends up teaming up with a younger driver that he also mentors in the movie. If you’re into racing, this one is for you.
Death of a Unicorn
Death of a Unicorn will be released in Spring of 2025. A girl and her dad were in their car when they accidentally crashed into a unicorn. The father’s boss found out and attempted to use the unicorn for it powers and other useful properties, but this fails and they all must deal with the consequences. Listed as a horror movie, if you like innocent things with a dark twist, this one may peak your interest.
Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare
Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare is set to release February 24th, 2025. Kid’s story “Peter Pan” has taken a dark twist as Wendy’s brother, Michael, was taken by and evil Peter Pan. She now has to go rescue him and take him back home. On her way, she finds Tinkerbell who isn’t the cute little fairy that we know, but a more twisted version of her. Again, an old and innocent story with a dark twist. If that’s your thing, you may want to check this out.
Black Bag
Black Bag is set to release on March 14th, 2025. George Woodhouse’s wife was accused of betraying the country. Now he has to choose between two things: being loyal to love and helping his wife, or being loyal to his people and helping his country. With their marriage being their professional weak points and lives at stake, this one is a thriller you won’t want to miss.
Snow White
This new version of Snow White is set to be released on March 21st, 2025. Like the original, it will tell the story of Snow White being poisoned by the apple and eventually meeting the seven dwarfs Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. This remake, however, will be a live action musical. The story never gets old so you may want to check out what’s new.
