Cardi B and Offset have had their relationship put through many tests and strenuous situations. From cheating allegations to several attempts at divorces, here’s a timeline of the Cardi B and Offset relationship.
In The Beginning
The two met in 2017 at an industry event where Offset began flirting with Cardi. Cardi said his flirting fell a bit flat, but she eventually gave him a chance due to his persistence. They went to the 2017 Super Bowl together for their first date in February 2017, and that’s where their story officially starts. This was shortly before Cardi B signed her multi-million dollar deal with Atlantic Records.
According to RRG, Cardi said that Offset kept her motivated at the beginning of her career, and often encouraged her when she felt that she would not get things done. Offset claims he fell in love with her authenticity and humor. The two claimed they were able to stay together because of their ability to thoroughly communicate.
Despite many people advising them against it, the two were privately wed in September 2017. However, just about a month after getting married, Cardi posted “single” on her Instagram account, but later made another post saying she was being dramatic. Soon after this incident, Offset surprised her with a public proposal at Powerhouse in Philly. Although the two were already married, Cardi said yes and excitedly accepted the ring.
The Relationship Drama Begins
By December 2017, the Cardi B and Offset relationship started to go off the rails. According to ASHTON, an explicit tape was leaked of Offset and another woman showing proof of cheating. In response to this, Cardi stated, “You pull that s**t again and you gon’ lose your wife”, during a concert in front of fans. She later took him back saying that though she knew she could have any man she wanted, she wanted to make things work with him. They celebrated their first anniversary in September of 2018.
According to People Magazine, in October of 2018, Cardi B was arrested, allegedly for assaulting a woman Offset cheated with. According to ASHTON, another girl he allegedly cheated with named Summer Bunny then showed texts of Offset attempting to have a threesome with her and another female rapper by the name of Cuban Doll. About two months later in December of 2018, the couple officially split. By that point Cardi B had given birth to their first child together, Kulture, earlier that year.
It’s Not Over Yet
Within the same month, during Cardi’s performance at “Rolling Loud”, Offset came on stage apologizing for his actions. He came with flowers and a note that said: “Take me back, Cardi.” Cardi seemed unimpressed and had the flowers removed, but took him back in January of 2019.
This did not last. By December 2019, more proof was posted of Offset’s infidelity. In September of 2020, Cardi B once again filed for divorce. Cardi gained custody of their daughter Kulture and requested child support from Offset.
About two months later, the couple was back! Cardi claimed she only filed for divorce to teach him a lesson. Things seemed pretty cool for a while for the couple.
However, in October of 2022, people speculated that Offset was cheating with Quavo’s ex, Saweetie. The only evidence is a lyric from Quavo’s song “Messy”, and both Saweetie and Offset attending Future’s birthday party. Both parties denied the allegations. Cardi B decided not to acknowledge the rumors either.
In June 2023, Offset accused Cardi of cheating. This turned out to be a lie, and Offset deleted the tweet. They then celebrated six years together in September of 2023.
Not much later, in December of 2023, Blueface jumped on social media accusing ChriseanRock of sleeping with Offset, essentially claiming that Offset was cheating on Cardi as well. Later that month Cardi came to Instagram live in distress expressing her frustration with Offset’s lack of loyalty. Despite this, they got back together later that month.
Another Pregnancy, Another Divorce Filing
Offset and Cardi’s relationship seemed to be smooth sailing for about a year. Then, in June of 2024, Offset allegedly got a woman pregnant and paid her to abort it. In July, he was spotted with an alleged pregnant ex in a casino.
The next month, Cardi filed for divorce once again. And on the same day she announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
In December 2024, according to Rolling Out, Cardi was accused of cheating once again by rapper BIA. While no specific time of when this could have gone down was given, Cardi heavily denies the allegations. No proof has been brought up since.
On Valentine’s Day 2025 Cardi B popped out with apparent new boo, NFL athlete, Stefon Diggs. Meanwhile around the same time Offset seemed to reply with a scathing new track apparently aimed at the mother of his children, titled, “Ten.” The song suggests that a woman would need ten men to replace him!
