Paramount Plus announced the popular series ‘Diarra From Detroit’ is getting another season.
This season is centered on Diarra’s crazy love life and investigating a triple homicide over 8 episodes, starting on July 29, 2026.
The series creator, Diarra Kilpatrick spoke on season 2, sharing that the new season will be different, focusing on the friendship dynamic to make the story better. The plan is for a new mystery homicide, with a better twist. The new season also goes deeper on the character of Diarra Brickland (Diarra Kilpatrick) in order to show more about her character, but still keeping the humor from Season 1.
According to the trailer, there are more mysteries in Detroit for Diarra to solve. In addition to the mysteries, she wants to find love, while fixing her mental health.
Previously featured on BET+, season 2 of ‘Diarra from Detroit’ will be released on Paramount. includes Diarra Kilpatrick as Diarra, Morris Chestnut as Swa, Shoniqua Shandai as Raqueeba, along with Dominique Perry as Aja and Bryan Terrell Clark as Mr. Tea. Others guest stars include Jon Chaffin, Shannon Wallace, and Phylicia Rashad.
