The long awaited spinoff to Snowfall is set to premiere on September 8th. Titled, Snowfall: The Drop, the new series will follow Wanda and Leon, in the 90s, still in Los Angeles, trying to make their way from the drug game to the rap game.
Fans are already torn on the series, which will likely not feature original fan favorite Franklin Saint, or his Uncle Jerome or Aunt Louie. With most of the original cast gone, the new Snowfall cast, led by Gail Bean and Isaiah John, will have to do a lot of heavy lifting to get fans back in their good graces, considering that the original series ended 3 years ago with “The Struggle” episode back in April 2023.

The spin-off certainly looks interesting and goes in a direction most fans probably didn’t expect. Will it work, and keep long time Snowfall fans satisfied? That remains to be seen.
