Singer Serayah is spilling the tea behind her broken engagement to rapper Joey Bada$$, which might be linked to infidelity, as the rapper is embroiled in cheating rumours with other women.
Joey Bada$$ is rumoured to have been cheating after his ex-fiancée, Serayah, provided audio evidence that puts Joey in a suspicious situation involving cheating with another woman. The rapper allegedly was intimate with more than one woman despite being in a monogamous relationship with his partner, Serayah.
In a now-deleted post, Serayah revealed an audio of Joey’s conversation where he was talking to a woman, confirming the infidelity rumours as the cause of their broken engagement. In the lengthy messages she posted on Instagram, she starts by reaffirming that self-love is a priority before announcing the split from Joey. She said, “There comes a point in a woman’s life when choosing herself is no longer an option; it becomes necessary…After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to end my engagement and relationship with the father of my child, Joey.”
While she believes she deeply loved him but had to choose herself after constant effort to save the relation proved abortive. Further, she added, “I share this not for sympathy, retaliation, or to publicly tear anyone down. I share it because too many women are taught to question themselves before they question what is happening right in front of them.”
She goes to advise other people to trust their guts and be confident without compromising values to keep a relationship alive with a reminder – “don t allow someone else’s choices to become a referendum on your worth.” She concluded the note by saying,
“Love should not require you to abandon yourself.
I will always respect the fact that we share a bequtiful son, and my priority will be protecting his peace, privacy and relatonship with both of his parerts. For that reason, I wont be discussing the intimate details of our relationship publicly beyond what I have shared here.
This chapter did not end the way I prayed it would. But endings can also be beginnings.”
The news of their engagement not only comes as a shock to their fans but also as a disappointment. The formerly engaged couple share a boy together, which they welcomed in 2025.
This is not the first time a couple has separated due to infidelity. Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion and Klah Thompson called it quits, following accusations that her fiancé was being unfaithful.
