Shanda Downes-Taylor

Shanda Downes-Taylor is a freelance writer and poet. Originally a Barbados native, Shanda grew up in the streets of Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY. Shanda’s descriptive writing ability and provocative poetry style began when she was just ten years old. Time has manifested her gift into this amazing ability to a tell a story and like a painter and she brings beautiful color to even the darkest subject matter. Shanda loves writing about music and entertainment. She has a deep appreciation for all genres of music that reflect life. Shanda is currently working on publishing her first collection of original poetry and her first Novel is forthcoming.
