Tamar Braxton Said To Have Filed For Divorce From Husband Vincent Herbert, Details Inside

Well, it looks like the industry’s favorite reality TV and music couple, ‘Tamar & Vince’, are no longer. Divorce and separation rumors surrounding the famed item have been surfacing for months now, but, from what we’ve just learned, they aren’t exactly rumors anymore. According to TMZ‘s reports, Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert are officially calling it quits after nine years of marriage.

Braxton and Herbert, a record producer and executive–most known for his work with Aaliyah, Hi-Five, Mindless Behavior, among others–started dating back in 2003, shortly after meeting each other while Herbert was working with Braxton’s iconic sister, Toni Braxton. The couple then went on to date for about five years before finally deciding to tie the knot on November 27th, 2008. They now share a four-year-old son together, Logan Vincent.

However, unfortunately, it was reported that Braxton filed divorce documents, this past Tuesday, in L.A. County. Earlier this month, we learned that Braxton and Herbert put their Calabasas mansion up for sale, at a whopping $15 million. Some media outlets said it to be due to financial reasons, but we’d say that it’s absolutely no coincidence that, a couple weeks later, this divorce headline pops up.

Of course, we are all beginning to wonder what could have led to this sudden divorce. Amidst the September 29th release of her fifth and final album, Bluebird of Happiness, Braxton made a public announcement about her decision to retire from music. In an exclusive with ET, she admitted that the reason behind her retirement was solely to focus on her marriage to Herbert, as the music industry had become a hindrance and strain on their relationship.

“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” Braxton revealed to ET. “There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.”

“My husband and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know? Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.” She continued.

So, that interview definitely led us to believe that the two were headed in the right direction. But, it seems that we’ve been proven otherwise. Things had been seeming rocky between them for a while, though. Previously, a woman came forth, claiming that she and Herbert shared a secret child. Also, last year, TMZ released a 911 call from a domestic dispute that Braxton and Herbert had, back in August of 2016. The incident was said to have taken place at a hotel in Atlanta, and the police were eventually called after Herbert allegedly bit Braxton’s hand during an argument. So, as you can see, it’s been quite the roller coaster for the Herberts.

At the top of this month, during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Braxton admitted that ‘marriage is great but hard as hell.’ She even said that the music had been what she and her husband bumped heads about the most, which we saw a lot of that on their WE TV reality series, Tamar & Vince.

Braxton, nor Herbert, have spoken publicly about this recent divorce news. However, Braxton did take to her Instagram, a few hours ago, sharing an inspirational clip that many believed to be a subliminal response.

Concerned fans and friends filled the comments, sending their well wishes and continuous prayers. Some even asked what this meant for the Tamar & Vince show, which is set to air its fifth season next month. As of now, no one knows, but we can almost assume that this would mean a cancellation for that, as well, if a divorce is even happening.

With Braxton and Herbert’s anniversary around the corner, this certainly saddens us, but we’re hoping that, whatever the result is, things will end well.
