Irv Gotti is bringing his Murder Inc. Documentary to BET. The story looks at the ups and downs of the once, “most dangerous record label,” essentially looking at the rise and fall of the team. The documentary is set to premiere on BET starting on August 9th at 9pm.
Each hour long episode of the five part documentary looks at the record label through the eyes of founder, Irv Gotti. Murder Inc. included Ja Rule, Ashanti, Lloyd, Cadillac Tah, Black Child, Charlie Baltimore, Vita, Chinx Santana and a number of other artists. In addition to solo success from their top artists, they also released several group projects, were featured on soundtracks and much more. The label was seemingly unstoppable, until they ran into two crews at the same time that wanted the end of them: 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew, along with the FBI.

Gotti has already revealed a bit about his relationship with Ashanti, which coincided with some of her biggest hits. While the relationship was an affair, because Gotti was married at the time, it’s been a huge part of the discussion ever since. Ashanti and Irv Gotti still aren’t cool til this day, with Ashanti saying that she wants to publicly rerecord her debut album so that she can get her due from the project.
