Nas takes over the J. Cole record to lay down a memorable verse paying respect for the young emcee.  Honestly brought goosebumps to me hearing the legend accept and praise Cole.  Check out the “Let Nas Down Remix” below and feel free to download it.

On the original track, J.Cole talks about Nas being disappointed in Cole’s first choice for lead single.

Dion called me when it dropped, sounded sad but sincere
Told me Nas heard your single and he hate that shit
Said you the one, yo why you make that shit?
I can’t believe I let Nas down
Damn, my heart sunk to my stomach
I can’t believe I let Nas down
I got defensive on the phone
Resentment was in my tone, fuck it

On the Let Nas Down remix, Nas clarifies his stance and shares that he is not nearly disappointed in the young rapper.

I ain’t mad at you, young king, this unsung song is hauntin’
Along comes a one son called a offspring

He continues later in the track…

While you was writin’ down my rhymes I was just tryna show you
That if you say what’s on ya mind, you can stand the test of time
Now I’m playin’ Born Sinner loud, saw you live, rock the crowd
Like wow, you made your nigga Nas proud
