Black Rob Releases First Single in Four Years, Announces Album Plans

Former Bad Boy artist and Harlem bred emcee, Black Rob has released his first single since 2011.  The rapper who became a powerhouse with his hit single, “Whoa,” has returned to the spotlight with his new song, “Welcome To My Life,” which features Harley on the hook.  Produced by The BPM Boyz the track is a reintroduction of sorts for the artist whose career was derailed after a four year prison stint.

Rob also announced plans for a new album set to be released on April 21st.  The new project will be titled, Genuine Article and it will be released via independent record label Slimstyle Records, home to fellow NY rappers Cormega & Lord Tariq.   Genuine Article will be Black Rob’s first album since he released Game Tested, Street Approved under Duck Down Music four years ago.

Expect more of the same from the gritty New York emcee on this new project.  Album features include Murda Mook, Ron Browz and Q Parker (of 112) among others.
