Elle Varner’s new single is a “Birthday” inspired ballad, featuring the king of birthday songs, 50 Cent.
She recently premiered it with a performance of the song… without 50, but that didn’t take away from the beautifully-orchestrated melody bringing down the house.
Varner kicks off her verse of the piping-hot track with, “Yesterday was your birthday / So I had to put it down in the worst way / Put the cake on your plate, then I let you eat the whole d*mn thing / Yeah, last night was one to remember / I’m sure you’d agree/ Had such a good time, felt like I was celebrating me.”
Of course, the crowd went crazy, with Varner’s vocals on 1000.
