RIAA Acknowledges J Cole Certified Platinum with Singles “Crooked Smile” & “Can’t Get Enough”

The world of Hip-Hop/Rap music seems to be very communal nowadays. Everyone’s trying to be different, which, in reality, makes them all the same. In 2016, it’s almost rare to find a rap artist who has excelled at staying true to themselves and their artistry. However, J. Cole happens to be among the few left.  Today RIAA acknowledes J Cole certified platinum status for two new tracks.

While not only embodying a sick flow, Cole’s unique lyricism puts him at a level of legendary in today’s generation. His recent platinum singles proves just that.

Putting his total number of singles sold at a solid six million, Roc Nation recently announced that Cole’s “Crooked Smile” (Born Sinner) and “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Trey Songz (Cole World: The Sideline Story) both have been certified platinum.

“He’s one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation.” Fellow rapper, Drake, boasted at one of his recent concerts in reference to Cole.

With six platinum singles and three platinum albums, the Fayetteville, North Carolina native continues to set the bar–yet, again. His music offers a sense of rawness, while taking the rap game to new heights. From his earlier projects, such as, Friday Night Lights to even his latest, Forest Hills Drive, the rapper never disappoints.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard something from Cole; however, we’re hoping to hear something from him on the music scene pretty soon. We all know, whenever Cole decides to make his grand return, it will be worth the wait.
