The First Noel Gets 10-Show Limited Run At The Apollo Theater For The Holidays

The Apollo Theater collaborates with the Classical Theatre of Harlem to bring you The First Noel for 10 performances. Due to its success, last year, The First Noel will be performed on the legendary Apollo stage for the theater’s first limited-run holiday production under it’s “Holidays at the Apollo” program.

The First Noel revolves around the character Noel, who has flashbacks of her childhood recalling a Christmas of the past.  Flashing back to Harlem in 1985 to a young Noel and her desire for Christmas in a house where holiday joy is unwelcome following the tragic loss of a loved one. First Noel looks at how the Holiday spirit helps to heal the family. Through original music and classic carols re-imagined – using pop, jazz and gospel songs – The First Noel delivers the Holiday spirit to audiences in a fresh, new way.

The play mixes holiday classics with an urban feel. Think jingle bells with a jazzy tune. Pop and gospel will also be incorporated. The theatrical extravaganza features theater veteran Tina Fabrique along with an amazing cast.
